Interesting note on this past week's college foots

Yesterday, 14 teams were shutout in the first half and only two, kansas and buffalo, were competitive in the second half. Was this an aberation or the norm for the first week? Additionally, how did those "slug" teams perform the following week or two against the spread? I do not have the previous years stats and, if anyone has the answer to these questions I would appreciate a response.
